You must provide evidence of your skills and experience across the following essential criteria:


Demonstrable experience in the leadership of large, multi-disciplinary teams; with a proven ability to inspire, develop and motivate people at all levels.

Proven track record in embedding a collaborative culture that transcends organisational boundaries.

Stakeholder Management

Proven ability to establish and maintain strong and effective relationships at the most senior level(s), with the credibility to engage, influence and rapidly gain the confidence of a diverse range of stakeholders.

Managing Change

An ability to foresee and mitigate potential issues, working with the most senior leaders, delivery partners, stakeholders and clients to challenge assumptions in an assertive yet constructive way.

A high degree of personal credibility and resilience, along with the enthusiasm and commitment to deliver and personally respond to quickly changing situations.

Experience working in complex high profile environments to create a culture of flexibility, responsiveness and creativity, mobilising the broader team to respond to changing priorities.

Service Design and Technology

An ability to set and ‘sell’ the vision as it pertains to current and future use of technology.

Demonstrable experience in the design and development of innovative and over-arching technology roadmaps.

An understanding of the use and importance of modern technology assets, crucially, the digital transformation of government.

An understanding in the cyber threat landscape, most notably within government, and the service design mitigations therein, is also fundamental to the role.
