Essential

  • Digital systems and IT solutions experience of developing new digital ways of working, that are intuitive, and customer focused.
  • Experience in changing the internal and external process landscape, using new digital ways of working in their sector.
  • Experience of the careful and growing presentation of the brand in the marketplace, using digital tools.
  • Extensive experience and established track record of leading “digital change” teams, at Director and/or Board level and gained in complex organisations of scale.
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • The personal confidence and industry contacts to “hit the ground” running and thus maintain the SFGB’s full organisational Digital and IT systems stability, safety, back-up and IT/systems controls for our organisation now and into the future.
  • A strong track record of successfully interfacing with staff and stakeholders, consistently delivering above expectations across digital platforms including working with the executive team in the design and execution of innovative business process, IT, digital structures/models for new ways of working.
  • Creative mind, innovative and prepared to challenge the status-quo.
  • Strong leadership capability able to deliver results consistently through others.
  • Excellent influencing and communication skills and ability to line manage an IT/systems team, with its own senior IT leadership.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, together with adaptability and flexibility.

Desirable

  • Experience of managing IT teams.
  • Public sector and Private sector experience.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the political arena in relation to public sector service delivery.
