The Person


  • Extensive experience and established track record of leading Partnership working, and Commissioning, at Director and/or Board level in complex organisations
  • Strong negotiating, commissioning ability and performance management of contracts to meet contract KPI's.
  • Experience of building strong personal connections with senior key stakeholders (ideally e.g. Local Authorities, Schools, NHS, Employers, CBI, IoD etc)
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
  • The personal confidence, industry respect and industry contacts to “hit the ground” running.
  • To be confident with the media and at public events and speaking.
  • A strong track record of successfully interfacing with staff and stakeholders, consistently delivering above expectations.
  • Significant experience in the development/co-production of innovative business process structures/models for new ways of working.
  • Creative mind, innovative and prepared to challenge the status-quo.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, self-confidence and collaborative; able to deliver consistent results through others.
  • Engaging, personable character, who can show and live our values. Excellent influencing and communication skills.
  • Integrative team working style, easy contact, rapid to adaptation, empowering, can foster team spirit and build cohesive cultures.


  • Public sector and Private sector experience.
  • Understanding of the Money, Savings, Pension and/or Debt markets.
  • Demonstrable understanding of the political arena in relation to public sector services.
